I know, I know...it's been quite some time since I've published my blog. Between reorganizing my studio (again) and the holidays, I hadn't made the time to really concentrate on creating.
So, my 2015 goal is to blog once a week - every Monday - to contribute to my Facebook Page three days a week - and to spend more time in the studio. And I'm really, really going to try to hold myself to that!
I thought I'd start the New Year off by focusing on the art of journaling with a fun and colorful page from my own art journal.
I love playing around in my journal. Since it's for my eyes only (unless I decide to share, or course) I get to abandon all feelings of inadequacy and just forge ahead with my thoughts. Sometimes my page turns out ok, sometimes it turns out fabulous, and sometimes I want to rip it out and toss it in the trash...but I don't. Why?
Because, fast forward a few months or so, check it again, and I can usually use part of the page in another piece. NEVER GET RID OF A JOURNAL PAGE....EVER!
Keeping a journal - for your eyes only - can be a great way to harness your creativity. You can draw, write, post photos, doodle...anything, as long as you enter something on a regular basis. And it doesn't have to be every day or week....just regularly. And, keeping a Grateful Journal where you can write one thing that you are grateful for every day, week or month...can help you to find the perfection with the chaos of daily life.
A journal is a record of just you and your thoughts. There are countless online sites to help you get started and to help you find the right fit. So, there's no time like now....the beginning of a new year to begin.
I'd love to hear from you...if you keep a journal, if you're thinking about it and send photos too!
